Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I work for West London Mission and have the privilege of doing Chaplaincy work at Seymour Place which is a day centre for people who are affected by homelessness. Seymour Place is a special place where over 100 people come each to receive support, food, company, they can see a nurse, project workers and volunteers who deeply care about them.
I listen to people's stories and I am moved and challenged by their resilience and bravery when coping with very difficult circumstances. Seymour Place not only offers practical support and health care to people but it also cares for people's spiritual needs through the chaplaincy work. In some of the saddest stories I have heard - I have also experienced great hope at Seymour place and I am so proud to be part of their work even in a small way.
So I am running the Royal Park's Half Marathon- this is my second year. Last year I ran for Seymour place and I see first hand how the money which is raised impacts people's lives.
If you can donate it would be much appreciated- often it is very difficult to know how to help people who are homeless. This is a great way to offer your pennies and pounds!
