My daughter was taken seriously ill in January 2013. Hannah-Michelle was 36wks pregnant, she went into cardiac arrest, with undiagnosed peri-partum cardiomyopathy resulting the premature birth of my grandson. This happened at the Cardiff university hospital South Wales. Hannah-Michelle was blue lighted to the QEHB within hours of giving birth. Here my daughter was given life saving treatment, in time giving Hannah-Michelle the chance to meet her son. These were moments that we as a family would be forever grateful, giving us beautiful memories to treasure. Without the treatment we would have lost Hannah-Michelle in the January with the possibility of losing her son also. The QEHB gave us 5wks, in this time we met many wonderful people, who gave 100% every day throughout Hannah-Michelle's treatment. Treatment was for peri-partum cardiomyopathy, sepsis from an underlying infection that they could not find due to other problems that were raising their ugly heads. Gratitude I feel for all the love and care that was shown not only to my beautiful daughter but also every member of my family, is raising funds to help give the equipment that the department so desperately need, also for rare diseases.

Every year my uncle arranges a golf day, all proceeds go towards the charity, along with other charitable events. Our latest one is a skydive, which at the moment we have at least 15+ endeavouring this fun day.
