Simplyhealth Junior & Mini Great North Run 2019 · 7 September 2019 ·

The Chronicle Sunshine Fund provides specialist equipment for children with disabilities or special needs, to improve the quality of their lives. The fund is helping North East children in special schools, learning units, hospitals and also individual families.

Story

Ted and Dulcie are taking on the 5 km Junior Great North Run to raise money for the Chronicle Sunshine Fund.  Wren is also taking part, covering a gruelling 50 metres in her walker to help disabled children access the specialist equipment they need.

The Sunshine Fund help disabled children in the North East by providing vital specialist equipment, something that has benefited Wren and many of her friends.  Thanks to the Sunshine Fund, Wren has a walker at school so she can play with her friends, interact on their level and have a jolly good cuddle.
