3 YORKSHIRE CHILDREN, 3 YORKSHIRE PEAKS, 12 HOURS!

We plan to conquer the Yorkshire Three Peaks: Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. Our hope is to do the 25 mile challenge in 12 hours, but whatever time we achieve this will be something the children can be proud of. We will complete the route as a family team for Stuart. His Mum and Dad will be joining us for extra support and encouragement. Keeping us fully supplied with all the treats we'll need to keep motivated. Stuart told them life goes on and they have tried to follow that, as has his wonderful wife Jenny. Their strength is inspirational and they are all a constant support to Thomas, Molly and Arthur in everything they do and will definitely be behind them in this challenge. We know Stuart would have encouraged us to push ourselves and he will be with us every step of the way. You'll Never Walk Alone!

When Stuart was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia we thought he would be able to fight, but the cure just wasn't there yet for him. He was a strong, fit and otherwise healthy 35 year old. A proud SSgt in the Army Air Corp. Cancer really can happen to anyone. Stuart's care was exceptional, but his treatment was very harsh. By fundraising we hope that more kinder life saving treatments will be made available for everyone so other families will get a chance to make new memories with their loved ones instead of just taking on challenges in their memory. 

We were very grateful to have been able to spend Stuart's last 8 weeks with him. We especially appreciated being able to get him back home to Yorkshire. Even though no time is long enough, this pandemic has made us realise how lucky we were to have that time. A diagnosis of any cancer is isolating enough without being kept away from your family and friends. Raising money for Blood Cancer UK will help them provide extra support to people when they need someone to talk to most.
