We work in Oxfordshire's local communities to help people with mental health problems

Story

Oxfordshire Mind has several wellbeing centres. These centres provide day to day services, activities, and peer support groups. Our peer support groups provide a safe, welcoming space to share activities, learn something new, discuss issues or thoughts and meet people who may have similar experiences.

Several of our members at the Mill, one of our wellbeing centres, decided they would like to do more fundraising. One idea shared between some of the members and myself is a Danceathon. We want to raise money for equipment for new groups, but also do something fun and therapeutic that raises awareness of Oxfordshire Mind and Mental Health.

The Danceathon - which will feature a BBQ and refreshments - will work on a tag team/pass the baton system, meaning a rotation of dancers over the whole event. However, the golden rule is that the dance floor must never be empty.

We hope to see you on the 4th of July. Doors open at 3pm and the event will conclude  at 8.30pm. Come along anytime, for as little or as long as you like.
