Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi everyone, this post means a great deal to me, so, if you can, please take a little time out of your day to read it. I certainly hope you will be able to share in the meaning of it, as well as hopefully send some support!
Since April 20th I have been on a mission to lose buckets of excess weight in order to be able to be part of an annual event which takes place here in Portsmouth. The event is The Great South Run, a 10 mile run around the city in efforts to raise lots of money for charity, so far I have lost 17lbs in my mission to get trim (ish). My training programme is fully charted and I am currently ahead of target, YAY!
I'm running in this event in honour and loving memory of my wonderful friend Jason Denham who was taken from us by a most aggressive form of cancer. It is always dreadful losing someone you love, losing Jason was just the worst, my best friend so suddenly gone. It will be particularly poignant as the Great South Run this year takes place two days after what will be the third anniversary of Jason's passing. So it is going to be a very emotional run, or rather, walking/jog. Jase will definitely be smiling down as I take this challenge on. I am also running in memory of the beautiful Lian Eames, you and your gorgeous big smile are missed so much darling girl xxxx
I am also running for all those wonderful people I know, care for and share a connection with who have been impacted by their own cancer diagnosis, especially my good friend and old shippers Phillip Hughes, and the beautiful Nicky Hopkins my love and wishes to you especially.
If you are able to help me in my quest then please donate as much or as little as you can spare, to help in the fight to beat this awful disease. You can do so via my this my just giving page, and please take a moment to gift aid your donation too.
Like so many I miss Jason so much. I hope my dear friend, tries hard not to laugh too much, as he looks down at me as I run round the streets of Portsmouth and looking fabulous of course in his name XxX
