Story
Milly: I met Devi on day 1 of university, 18 years old.
Nearly a decade on, and life has changed in many ways. Adventures, progression of skills, careers, passions. Also big challenges.
No matter any endurance race I could do, it is nothing compared to what Devi has endured. I salute her, I love her, I am inspired by her. So as a small token of appreciation to her, and to support an amazing charity helping to grow awareness and support of Multiple Sclerosis, I am going to run a marathon distance on the Sussex Downs, March 2018. It will be the first event since ankle injury, but even if I had to summersault my way round - I would do it laughing, because Devi will be there to support and make me giggle.
Plus, she is the toughest person I know. So I'm running for Devi - after all, after all those years of excellent cups of tea, it's the least I can do.
Devi: Milly has said a lot about how strong I’ve been since I was diagnosed with MS, but honestly, there’s no way I’d be able to deal with it without her.
From a particularly horrible day one, she has kept me laughing and smiling, pushing me to stay upbeat even when I’ve felt worse than I ever imagined possible.
The fact that’s she’s running this race for me and others with misbehaving neurological systems goes to show how brilliant a friend, and human she is.
So go on, sponsor this wonder of a woman!
