Story

Hello, my name is Millie and I have decided to take part in
the Dementia UK,100km dog walking challenge in March. I will be walking with my cheeky dog Buddy and my 5 year old brother Charlie (obviously Mum and Dad too!) - We will all be completing at least 100km, Buddy a lot more!

My Grandad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s 10 years ago this
year and as a family we have seen this horrible illness change my wonderful Grandad. He is no longer able to have a conversation with me and he doesn’t understand when I ask him questions but he always smiles when Charlie and I arrive and I can tell that he is happy when we listen to music and dance around together.

I am doing this walk as I would do anything to make my Grandad better, I know this is not possible for my Grandad now but the money I raise will go towards research and hopefully this will help other families in the future.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
