On Sunday 25th February 2018, my best-friend's beautiful younger sister, Leah Reek, was cruelly taken in the Leicester explosion on Hinckley Road together with her boyfriend Shane, his younger brother Sean and their mother Mary. 

Leah was an incredible and compassionate person who regularly volunteered her time to the LOROS Hospice to support and care for people in their time of need. Leah had also just received an unconditional offer to study Nursing at DeMontfort University in Leicester.

In memory of Leah, we will be taking part in the LOROS Twilight 10km walk on Saturday 14th April 2018. Any donations, however big or small, would be so gratefully received for a charity so close to her heart.

LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.

Rest in peace Leah, you were and now truly are an angel.
