On the 23rd April I'll be running the London Marathon for the British Heart Foundation, a charity very close to my family's hearts.
As many people know, my sister Chloé was born with a complex heart condition. She has undergone many surgeries and continues to do so.This impacts her everyday life but she's one of the strongest people I know and battles through every single time.
In September 2021, we suddenly lost a wonderful man and father, Steve Flint. This has left a hole in all of our lives, leaving behind 5 wonderful children, Thomas and Emily, aged just 9, and Jess, Ben and Abi.
The work of BHF will continue to protect his children and my sister through further research and testing to find new treatments and cures. Just £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, and every pound counts.
I would be so so grateful for any donations, and any other support, advice, song recommendations or motivation on the day are also very welcome!
