A cry for help from Santa!
It appears that the Reindeer are on a Work to Rule, and it looks as if Santa will have to pull his own sleigh.
He has 2,558 miles to walk from Wollaton Hall, where he stores his sleigh, to reach his workshop at the North Pole so he can load the rest of the presents. Then, he must trudge all the way back to Wollaton to hand them out to all the young people on Christmas Eve.
Wollaton Park Rotary have promised to help, but they need your assistance too.
Each one pound donation (£1) will buy you a mile along the 5,116-mile return journey. Just donate to buy miles! or you can get some exercise and ask your friends to sponsor you.
For example, if you only walk ten miles but get £100 in sponsorship, then you will be able to buy one hundred miles. So, blisters can make miles!
Now MILES also mean SMILES because Santa (with the help of Wollaton Park Rotary) is raising money for Treetops Hospice & Studio House, as well as a long list of other local charities who need your help.
BUT THERE'S MORE! PRESENTS FOR MILES!
Santa has got a small hole in his present sack, so the occasional present will fall out on his way to the North Pole. If you've bought the mile that each present falls out on... then you get to keep it!
