Story
In March 2020 our friend Miles took his own life. At 27, Miles was living in Oxford, had two university degrees, a successful job working for Oxford Biomedica and played lacrosse for Oxford City. As his close friends, we had no idea that he was struggling with his mental health.
One global pandemic later, which has seen existing mental health problems worsen and new ones develop, means that it is so important that charities such as Oxfordshire Mind can continue to provide support for those that so greatly need it.
On 10th July 2021, a group of Miles' friends from University will be riding over 100 miles from Oxford to Sherborne in one day to raise money for Oxfordshire Mind. Both places held meaning in Miles' life. Sherborne being the place near to where he grew up and Oxford where he studied and worked and where so many of his friends still live. Some of us have more experience than others and some of us are carrying considerably more ballast. We have 4 months to train and each and every one of your donations will help give us the motivation to get out on those cold windy mornings and ultimately, get us over the line in July.
