Story

Over 150 colleagues from the Cobham and Dartford offices of Willmott Dixon Construction will be taking part in the 2017 Cobham Challenge – Forest 500!

This year we will be raising funds to support Chestnut Tree House. This is the only children's hospice in East and West Sussex and cares for over 280 children and young adults from 0-25 years of age with progressive life-limiting conditions from Sussex and South East Hampshire. There are potentially 1,000 families with life-limited children in Sussex. Chestnut Tree House offers support for the whole family including psychological and bereavement support, end of life and short break care and sibling support.

Our challenge will start at Cobham and take in the South Downs before ending in the New Forest, an area of southern England which includes one of the largest remaining tracts of unenclosed pasture land, heathland and forest in south east of England. Our challenge will commence on on Thursday 22nd June. The  challenges will consist of:

Thursday: Hike – epic 52 miles/ 84K(24-30 hours) Friday:
Mountain biking – 52 miles / 85K
Road cycle – epic 125 miles / 200K
Road cycle - standard 80 miles / 130K
Hike – standard – 26 miles / 45K

Wish us luck.
