Story
Isabel - my best friend's daughter - had a really difficult start coming to this world. She suffered from lack of oxygen during birth which has affected her life profoundly. Every day Isabel struggles with severe epilepsy, low tone of her muscles (cerebral palsy) and inability to see well – she has a bad cortical visual impairment. Despite all that and the doctors’ very pessimistic prognosis she remains a brave, happy girl making lots of progress and I love her to bits for that!
I would love to help her and hence my idea of doing Tandem Skydive in June 2012 in Spain. By doing so I will be collecting money for the stem cell collection from the blood of Isabel’s sister who will make her appearance in July this year. Isabel’s parents pursue lots of therapies for their little one but the greatest hope for her is stem cell treatment. I would love to make a great difference to the life of this sweet little girl and I do hope you can help me achieve that!
Sky diving is quite a challenge. I’ve never done it before and it will be a real test. I’ll be falling free from round 10,000ft at a speed of 100mph before the parachute opens…
The money I will collect in this way will be sent directly to Tree of Hope Children’s Charity which looks after Isabel. If you are a UK taxpayer please tick the Gift Aid box because then we can reclaim 25% on every donation.
So please dig deep and donate now! And wish me luck!
I’m flying to you my dearest Isabel!
