  • Milan's Story

As many close and dear to us know, Milan was unfortunately diagnosed with Brain Cancer called Medullablastoma, a life threatening cancer that is aggressive. Milan was incredibly strong throughout this very difficult, challenging and life-changing journey.

Milan is the one of the nicest people we knew; her world fills with happiness when she saw others smile. She eager to see a world filled with hope, happiness and laughter. Honestly, we didn't know what bravery was until we saw it in our little sister.

Her battle started in April 2016. Milan was 22 and was ready to complete her final exams at Reading University. Her world was suddenly filled with challenges she never expected; surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and many other drug interventions. Day by day, the roads of hope closed on her, and her loved ones. It was this lack of hope that made us realise how little research has been allocated to this devastating disease.

The medical interventions helped fight the Brain Cancer initially, however months later it returned, aggressively.

Milan was sadly a victim of this.

  • Brain Tumour

There are over 130 types of brain cancers and unfortunately we don't know what causes them, and how to prevent them. What is more, some of these aggressive tumours spread very easily to other parts of the body. Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. They kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.

It would fill us with great pride if you could help us raise as much as possible for The Brain Tumour Charity - on our ongoing charity page - but also join us for the walk in Hillingdon. Your time and support in this would mean the world to us, and more importantly everything to Milan.

Thank you,

Love from all of Milan's family and friends
