Story
On the the first weekend of August this year I will be competing in the London Triathlon at Olympic level, this consists of a 1500m swim, 40k cycle and a 10k run.
The charity i will be raising for is the Army benevolent fund. Obviously I am a soldier and see this as a massively worthy cause. The charity gives support to serving soldiers, former soldiers and their families in times of need.
The people receiving the support include those with disabilities or mental illness, people experiencing homelessness or unemployment, and older people.
Please dig deep, in these hard times it is only going to be harder for those in need of support from this and any charity.
I have set the target HIGH as I have set my targets high for the race, there is also plenty of time for spreading the donations
...every penny goes to the charity through this page (very clever).
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Army Benevolent Fund gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thankyou all. I'll keep you all updated on the progress of training etc... through the facebook group.
Every penny counts!!
