Story
I’m running the London Marathon for Diabetes UK,
And I’d be grateful for any small donation you’re able to pay.
My mum was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in September 95,
And for entirety of my life has had the “bloody disease” by her side.
Not one complaint or groan.
Just occasionally, a small curse,
So lets be honest, it could be a lot worse!
She’s not the only one to suffer,
And some young children certainly have it a lot tougher.
So my plan is to run 26.2 miles on the 3rd October
And raise some cash.
A decision, which in time, may have been very rash!
So please donate,
Even if you don’t really consider me to be your mate.
A penny or a pound is much appreciated.
It’s going to be tough,
But will definitely be worth it if I raise enough!
