Fundraising for Peace Direct
Story
Yes - we finished!! I'm the one wearing the fluorescent yellow cycling jacket in the photo above, taken at John O'Groats on a rather grey and damp Friday 30th May.
Afterwards we went for a meal at the local Seaview Hotel and got through a couple of bottles of whisky...

As you may know, I and some friends are doing a cycle ride from Land's End to John O'Groats, setting out on 17th May and planning to arrive on 31st May. Despite the picture, I'll be cheating and using two wheels rather than one (it's about 1,000 miles)! For more details see The Big Wheel website.
I'm raising money through this page for Peace Direct, a small charity doing great work in supporting peace-builders around the world; people who are really making a difference in the lives of those affected by conflict. The charity I work for (Conflict and Change) is involved with Peace Direct, and I recently met Henri, who has had some remarkable successes in helping end some of the violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Peace Direct is also supporting conflict resolution work among ordinary people in Kashmir, Colombia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Nepal, Somalia, Iraq, and Kenya.
