Story
The time has finally come to cut my hair off after 12 years of having long hair, and I'd like to take this opportunity to raise money for the sorely underfunded research into fighting pancreatic cancer.
It is difficult to diagnose and difficult to treat, receiving only 1% of cancer research funding despite being the fifth largest cause of cancer death in the UK.

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month with November 17th being Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day, so I've picked the day after, November 18th, to cut my hair off.
My partner's grandmother, Margaret 'Bub' Foster, passed away in 2011 shortly after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, so I'm doing this for her as well as everyone else affected by pancreatic cancer.
Once it is cut off, I'm going to donate the hair to Little Princesses, a charity based in Hove which makes wigs for children who have gone through chemotherapy or otherwise lost their hair.
