Story
I am raising money for the British Heart Foundation in memory of Sarah's Dad, Barry, who unexpectedly and sadly passed away due an undiagnosed heart condition in November 2012.
So, in memory of man with the greatest moustache that I've ever seen up close, I'm going to entice you to donate to my goal of reaching £500 for this excellent charity.
Ever wanted to see training photos of a fat, sweaty Northerner's mental fortitude crumble in front of your very eyes? Ever wanted to to inspire a man to run a race he has absolutely no logical sense to be participating in? Well, I'm your guy and you're going to get it all. And I'm going to do it in competition with a hairy Liverpudlian (Mark Hassall) in tow (although he's likely to be many miles ahead).
- For every £100 I raise, I'll randomly pick a name from that hundred pound bracket and send you a little something.
- For a £50 donation, I will buy a trophy engraved with your name, and it will be presented to the winner at the Arc de Triomphe.
- If the donations come thick and fast and I bypass the £500 target, and if I reach £1,000, I will clean-shave my head for the race. (If you know anything about me at all, it's probably that I have a special affinity for my hair)
Sarah's Dad was a lovely, lovely man. If you can, please donate to help the British Heart Foundation continue it's research in his memory.
