Story
In April last year my wife Baljit woke up with what felt like a dead arm, we thought it was a trapped nerve. Fast forward a physio appointment, GP appointment, another physio appointment, two MRIs and two months later she received a diagnoses of Multiple Sclerosis. We are still learning to live with the daily challenges that MS throws our way, and are supported by some amazing friends and family.
We knew nothing about this condition and there have been times where we did not know where to turn, that's where the MS Society supported us with practical advice. The work the MS Society do is excellent, especially around research to stop MS as well as making breakthroughs in treatments.
To provide much needed funding to support and help those lives affected by MS on a daily basis, I am coming out of running retirement and running 26.2 miles in the 2024 TCS London Marathon to support the MS Society. There will also be a range of events throughout 2024, and if you would like to suggest or host one please get in touch.
What is MS? MS is an auto immune condition, unpredictable and incurable that makes the body attack the brain and nerves. It can attack suddenly or progress steadily, bringing a range of symptoms which can include sight loss, balance and mobility problems and extreme fatigue. The MS Society fund vital research into the causes of MS and possible treatments. They provide a helpline service, answering the calls of those looking for advice and support. They believe that together, we are strong enough to stop MS.
