Story
In 2018, my younger son Zachary was diagnosed with congenital Nystagmus, which affects his ability to see properly, recognise faces and perceive depth and impacts on his day-to-day life.
He is remarkably resilient and having had it since birth likes to comment that "there's nothing wrong with my eyes Daddy!" He overcomes this obstacle and is very active, loving football in particular.
At present there's no treatment for Nystagmus, and we would love to see that change in the future so that he can have a future without the limits the condition will place on him. The Nystagmus Network funds ongoing research so I’m looking to raise funds to support this work.
As I got a place through my club ballot, there’s no minimum target, but anything raised will help fund further research. If you’re in London and are able to come and support, it would be great to see you!
