Our team, the "Hospitality Consultants", has pledged to raise funds for The Springboard Charity as part of the "Virtual Race to Qatar and Back" challenge. Collectively, we're hoping to travel the whole distance of 6,462 miles in October!

I am focusing on cycling, and have so far clocked up over 300 400 500 750 miles towards our goal; mostly on a 25 year old mountain bike (!) around the Vale of Belvoir in the UK. Your support will encourage me to keep going for the rest of October - and I do need to step it up now!

Why Qatar? I believe it's the location of some sportsball tournament this year.

So who are the Springboard Charity and why am I supporting them?

Well, they provide free skills and employability training, mentoring and careers advice to young, unemployed and disadvantaged people - helping them to get into work. The charity is aligned with the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries with many big household names as sponsors of this event too. I think it's a worthy cause. I hope that you, like me, would wish to help them and all of the people they are aiming to support.
