It has been a great honor to be a  volunteer for the Capital District YMCA for twenty years. I have  witnessed all of the many ways that this organization makes a difference in our Capital District Community. 

The YMCA is there for so many people, like children and families who love to have a great place to play together. The YMCA is also there for seniors who want to stay emotionally and physically strong. 

One of the many great programs that the YMCA does every year is very close to my heart. I started the Caring Community Basket Brigade in 2016 with the goal to feed fifty families a full Thanksgiving meal. When I wanted to grow the campaign it made sense to connect with my favorite Capital District charity, the Capital District YMCA. In 2021 we fed 1,000 families a full Thanksgiving meal. I feel so lucky to be part of such a great organization.
