Story
Well if you're on the page Im guessing you're showing some interest, so let me sell it to you. :)
Me and a good friend and work colleague, Noreen Morrison, will be climbing Kilimanjaro in October. At nearly 20,000 feet, it is the worlds tallest freestanding mountain
We will be doing this for The Fishermen's Mission, a charity dedicated to helping fisherman and their families through the hardships that comes with deep sea fishing to provide us with food on our plates. Deep sea fishing is the UK's most dangerous peacetime occupation. Very long hours and lack of sleep mixed with treacherous weather conditions and heavy machinery make it a very dangerous living with serious injury, and even death, a very real possibility on a daily basis. Click the link to their website on this page to find out more about The Fishermen's Mission.
As well as both me and Noreen working in a fish and chip shop, my Nan's side of my family come from Brixham, Devon. My great, great Grandfather, Jack Seaward, was a fishermen all his life, along with other members of the Seaward family as well as having family involved with the Lifeboats. Noreen has family who have been and still are deep sea fisherman so this means quite a lot to us.
Please donate as much as you can, no matter how small, to this worthwhile cause. The target for this page is £1400, with the total amount I need to raise being £3,800. Please be aware that me and Noreen both have to raise this amount. So we are looking at a good £7,000+ between us. If you can, please take the time to visit Noreen's page here. http://tempuri.org/tempuri.html
