We are so proud of Mike Fitzgerald - a loyal and loving husband and devoted dad and grandad. He battled with mesothelioma (caused by exposure to asbestos decades ago when he was 15).  A painful cancer that takes people quickly, he showed  huge strength of character right to the end; he battled bravely, took pleasure with being with his family and did it all while keeping his sense of humour.

It is the families wish to donate to Meadow House Hospice (please no flowers at the funeral). Their support helped Dad stay at home where he wanted to be surrounded by his family.
