MISSION COMPLETE

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page in support of the Royal National Institute of Blind People charity.  I'm going to run in the 'BUPA Great North Run' a half marathon on the 18th September 2011 for this very hard working and worthwhile charity. This page has been set-up to cover donations to run the following races in 2011 (results so far in brackets):

  ·       3rd April - Blyth Valley 10km (completed in 64:45) moderate

  ·       24th April - North Tyneside 10km (completed in 67:40) hot

  ·       22nd May - Pier to Pier 11km (completed in 77:10) very windy!

  ·       26th June - Sunderland City 10km (completed in 71:30) very hot

  ·       17th July - BUPA Gateshead 10km (completed in 64:43) wet

  ·       18th Sept - Great North Run Half Marathon (target time 2hr 30min)

completed in 2hr 38:23 heavy rain from 6-7 miles

The RNIB are a charity that I have always admired and made donations to so who are the RNIB?

RNIB is a national organisation with branches and services throughout the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. RNIB's vision is of a world in which blind and partially sighted people enjoy the same rights, freedom, responsibilities and quality of life as people who are fully sighted.

RNIB's mission is to challenge blindness by empowering people who are blind or partially sighted, removing the barriers they face and helping to prevent blindness.
