I'm 'Roughin' it for a Reason' because the health of the environment is important to me, but educating our kids regarding nature is even more important!   I think David Sobel said it best " Whats important is that children have an opportunity to bond with the natural world, to learn to love it, before being asked to heal its wounds".  The Nature Center at Scanlon Creek gives kids that very opportunity, to learn about and appreciate nature by immersing themselves in it.  Our future generations are going to face significant environmental challenges, having a love of nature will be essential towards achieving a healthier world.
