Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year i'm hoping to raise awareness and some much needed funds for the Cobus Foundation charity of the year
About the Robinson's:
Raising awareness and much needed funds for FIND is very poinyant for my family and I as my son Ewan is Autistic. Ewan was diagnosed as being Autistic in 2004 at the age of 4. My wife and I found this very difficult to come to terms with and found it even more difficult to find any sort of information or support for ourselves and Ewan.
I'm hoping that my small efforts combined with your generousity can help FIND to support future families that may find themselves in a similar situation.
We eventually found the support we needed and dispite the day to day challenges Ewan continues to face he's grown into a loving Son and older brother with a wicked sense of humour, is amazingly bright, and a child with a beautiful heart.
A little bit of info about FIND:
FIND operates in various locations in the East Riding, providing valuable respite support for young people, their families, carers and siblings and is designed to meet the needs of young people and adults who have Autism Spectrum Disorder and associated learning disabilities.
Autism is a lifelong disability that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people and the world around them. By providing meaningful activities via a structured routine, indoors, outdoors and in the community, delivered by a highly trained and experienced team they aim to promote self-esteem and inclusion within the community.
FiND's mission is to support families by putting the needs of the individual at the centre.
Now the FUN stuff!!:
I've chosen to enter/take part/probably die! in a couple of fund raising challenges this year the first of which is the Hull Jane Tomlinson 10k Run which takes place on the 19th of this month. The second event takes place close to Chester in October and is the North West Tough Mudder ...i cannot wait!!
You can find more information about each event and make a donation for either event (or both if feeling generous) by following the below Links to my other just giving pages:
I'm also hoping to take part in a Coast to Coast cycling event in late summer so please keep watching this space for further information on that!
Serious bit!
I know times are tough and money has never been tighter but just £1 can make such a HUGE difference to this local charity helping local children and families......please be generous!
