An appeal to build 'a state of the art' extension to The Countess of Brecknock Hospice in Andover to meet the ever increasing need for our specialist palliative care in-patient and day care services

Story

As a member of Andover Rotary I have supported CoBH 10@10 previously as a marshaller at the event. This year, I thought I'd have a go myself, but increase the challenge by running the 10K instead of walking. As I haven't run 10 kilometres since the mid-80s it will be a challenge indeed, but the cause is well worth it. The Countess of Brecknock Hospice provides respite and palliative care to adults suffering from life-limiting illness who live in Andover and its surrounding villages or who have a connection with the area, together with comfort and support for their families, friends and carers. They are hugely reliant on voluntary donations to maintain the exceptionally high standard of services and care they provide. Put simply, if we don't support the Hospice, it won't be there to help when it is needed.
