As the 2020 Chairperson of the Posse Atlanta Board of Advisors, I am proud to invite you to our 2020 Power of 10K event scheduled for October 28, 2020.  

Posse was inspired by a student who said he never would have dropped out of college if he had his "posse" with him. Our simple idea: send a team (a Posse) of diverse students together to college and set them up for success. Posse has now supported almost 10,000 students nationwide in winning $1.5 billion in scholarships from Posse's partner colleges, with a 90% graduation rate!   

Our award winning education model proves time and time again that diverse groups of talented students, young people in danger of being overlooked, can serve as a catalyst for individual and community development. With Posse, these students become the leaders our society needs. Since COVID-19 hit, Posse has leapt to develop a digital program and rise to new challenges. Its a scary time, but Posse is making sure now-isolated students are connected and supported, and that they stay on track to graduation. 

This campaign is for those Posse Scholars, and also in acknowledgment of our Power of 10K event that has now become virtual due to the pandemic.  Posse Atlanta depends on this annual event for the majority of our fundraising so I ask that you consider joining us on October 28th for a fun filled night followed by a virtual after-party.  Although I will miss seeing many of you in person, I am confident the virtual event will be just as inspiring.  Especially since we have an incredible 2020 Posse Atlanta Honoree in Charles Barkley.
