26 Miles of Smiles!

Edinburgh Marathon Festival Full Marathon 2013 · 26 May 2013 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 1990 my Mum (pictured above) was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was treated successfully at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee and went into remission in 1995.
For 10 years Mum went back and forward to Raigmore Hospital every 6 months and was given the all clear.
In 2005 the cancer returned and Mum was subjected to yet more treatment.
Throughout her stays in hospital and at home, Mum was supported by MacMillan staff, helping her get clothing grants when she became too thin for her wardrobe and specialist equipment for getting around at home.
They were invaluable and worked alongside the angels of the NHS to care for my Mum and countless others.
In 2009 Mum lost her battle with cancer aged 59.
On 26th May 2013 I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon for MacMillan.
Please donate now and help MacMillan help others like they helped my Mum.
Thank you.
