We are a environmental charity working to keep UK coasts safe and clean.
Story
To celebrate The Waves Gallery 10th Year Anniversary a group of us will be venturing from Plymouth to Bude in June 2023, paddle boarding all the way as part of our PADDLE4OCEANMIND. We will be paddling on ‘The Fyne Boat Kit’ paddle boards -Kaholo which have all been handcrafted by members of our team.
Our aim is to SUP around all of Cornwall and average around 20-30 miles a day over 8-10 days, documenting a film of our journey and raising money for Surfers Against Sewage & CALM before.
We will be documenting the journey and creating a film which will be shown at The Waves Film Festival and aired through EdgeSport TVs platform globally. We aim to show our journey from start to finish including nights camping on the beach and how will be living off the land as much as possible as we go! It would be great to see you all in Porthleven, our half way point or somewhere along the way to say hello!
We are fundraising for two charities and would love your support! Surfers Against Sewage is a grassroots environmental charity, dedicated to the protection of the ocean, waves, beaches and wildlife. Along our paddle we will be helping to clean beaches and the ocean and keep the surroundings as we found them. CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) is a great cause taking a stand against suicide and standing together to show that life is always worth living. It’s great to be working with these two charities to spread awareness about the environment and mental health, two very important things in this day and age!
