Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Mark was taken from us in February after being diagnosed with cancer in December. Lost at the tender age of 53 he will be sadly missed by family, friends, team mates and opponents alike, he was such a popular figure. A whole hearted cricketer who gave his time freely to develop the skills of many a young cricketer.
"Flowery" captained Woodbank 2nd XI to Championship success in 2016 and as a fitting tribute to this remarkable man 9 of that Championship winning side will be attempting the challenging 18 mile Rossendale Round the Hills walk on 2 June. The purpose is to undertake something in Mark's memory whilst at the same time raising as much as we can so that research into this terrible disease can continue with the hope of finding a cure one day.
A challenging target of £3,000 has been set and any contribution, large or small in these difficult times would be much appreciated. Just a few quid from his many friends, team mates and opponents and we will "smash it"
