Story

My name is Mike Gregory and I'm Heading South, to the geographic South Pole. Let's be clear, I am not the first person to do this, nor will it break any records. What is important for you to understand is this;

1. I absolutely hate being cold and have spent most of my adult life chasing the sun.

2. I pretty much detest walking.

3. I'm giving up my New Years at home with my wonderful family to travel to Antartica on a Russian transport plane and then walk to the Pole dragging all my stuff with me on a sled. (no there will not be any dogs..)

"So why on earth would you want to walk to the coldest most inhospitable place on the planet?" I hear you ask.

Well, because when I learned about the work that the Lewis Moody Foundation is doing to raise money for The Brain Tumour trust to support the sick, their families and research into a cure for a disease that is the biggest Cancer killer in people under 40, I couldn't very well turn down an opportunity to help.

and - most of my mates/colleagues are so stingy that trying to get money out of them for something I might enjoy is a hard task, so I figured they may pay for me to be miserable for a few weeks ;-)

Please understand that you are not funding me, or anyone else in the team, we have all paid our way and every cent/penny that you donate will go to supporting these charitable works.

Anything that you can give, however small will be amazing!

Lots of love, Mike x
