Story

Hi all,

I hope you are well.

On September 20th, I will be taking part in the “Ladies in The Night” walk for Michael Sobell Hospice in memory of my mum Dee.

The Michael Sobell Hospice Charity is dedicated to supporting the work of the day Hospice and Inpatient Unit, providing specialist end of life care and support to local people, their families, friends and carers.

The staff are Michael Sobell gave my mum the best possible care for the end of her life and they do the same for so many others on a daily basis.

Not only do they provide a safe place for outpatients to go to by running the day centre, but they also provide a very comfortable environment for terminally ill patients as well.

My mum was very poorly, but she was the happiest I’ve ever seen her while being in that lovely place.

The staff made what should have been the worst time of our lives, bearable by being so damn fantastic and supportive!I

I have decided to do the 10 mile walk this year in memory of mum and I am hoping to have some sponsors, to help this wonderful place be able to continue giving the best possible to care to as many people as they can!

I have already smashed my previous target of £150 so am now hoping to smash my new target of £300!  :)

Thank you for taking the time to read my story! <3
