Hey there! My name is Mikaela and I am raising money for the Martlet's Hospice because of the amazing care that they provided for my dad before he passed away from metastatic melanoma. And also for the amazing care that they provide for the patients daily. My dad was diagnosed with skin cancer 3 years ago and it's been a long, hard journey for us all. My dad remained incredibly strong and brave throughout those 3 years and for that, I am proud of him. Unfortunately, he passed away on the 12th of April 2015, surrounded by family who loved him dearly. He was listening to his favourite music and me and my sister were singing to him, to reassure him that everything was ok and that he could go to "sleep".

To raise money, I am taking part in the Martlet's Midnight Walk and the distance I will be walking is 6 miles.
