Story
As you may know I work for the amazing TSA, and I am always amazed by the efforts of our wonderful community when it comes to fundraising - so as Head of Income Generation I thought I should put my money where my mouth is so to speak and enter the GNR ballot for a space! and 'LUCKY' me I got a space on my first attempt! So, after a winter of Carbs and Gin, I'm getting back into training for a half marathon and I hope you will all follow my progress and support me with my fundraising!
For those of you who don't know:
The TSA is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting people affected by Tuberous Sclerosis Syndrome (TSC). TSC is a rare genetic disorder, characterised by benign tumours in various organs of the body. TSC can affect almost any organ system, including growths on the brain, heart, skin, eyes, kidney, lungs and bones.
There overarching aim of the TSA is to provide help for today and a cure for tomorrow.
They do this by:
Making a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of people living with TSC and their families and carers
Leading research into tools, technologies and treatments which eliminate or reduce the effects of TSC
Leading innovation in the integration of medical and social care services
By sponsoring me to run the Great North Run you can support this life changing work! Please donate whatever you can...
