Story

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!!

For all the support and all the donation. We have raised over £3400!!!, I really could not have made this a success without you all and the constant encouragement from family and friends. A very special thank you to Darren, who had more faith in me than I did in myself, who showed up when I struggled both mentally and physically and helped me stick to my training plan as best as I can and to remind me to be kind to myself when I could not. Thank you, love. I appreciate you immensely.

I can't say thank you enough, it's amazing to hit the second target of £2200. I am so grateful and humbled by our wonderful family and friends. Also a huge thank you for those who gave  anonymous
donations, I wish I could thank you all personally. Maybe a crazy idea but l am going to give myself a third target of £3300. Every little helps.

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE DONATIONS - I hit my first target of £1100 - which was based on £20 for every Mile I ride. So over the moon and every so grateful. I want to keep raising more for ME Association so I have given myself a second target of £2200. Here is to hoping science wins and gives us a better understanding of ME/CFS

********************************************

My incredible partner Darren has Myalgic encephalomyelitis, also called chronic fatigue syndrome or ME/CFS, which is a long-term condition with a wide range of symptoms. Darren is one of 17 million people in the world that have ME/CFS and it is a condition still without a clear prognosis or cure.

The most common symptom of ME/CFS is post-exertional malaise, which is when people with ME/CFS is left feeling exhausted after physical or mental activities, which can also lead to increase in other symptoms like sensitivity to light and touch. The severity of ME/CFS can vary from person to person but it is a condition that affects every aspect of their lives from physical, mental, professional, financial to social and more.

There are 17 million people missing out on a huge amount of life and what this world has to offer and there is a whole world missing out on 17 million wonderful souls and what they have got to offer.

Here comes the cheesy bit....My life is infinity better for having Darren in it and I would like to do everything I can to make life living with ME/CFS better for Darren. Please join me in raising awareness and much needed funds so more research can be done and lives of people with ME/CFS can be improved.

If you cannot donate, please read up and educate yourself on ME/CFS,  advocate for people with ME/CFS in any capacity you can and please share this post

Thank you so much for taking your time to read this.

Much love, Mie x
