Let us introduce to you our brand new dance music experience is coming to Highest Point this year. One for all the party people heading to our beautiful festival site this May, the Microrave is set to be one of the hottest little spots in Lancaster.

Created to assist in raising vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, in partnership with Skiddle, the tent will see a list of DJs and live acts performing over the course of the festival, appearing before a very intimate and limited audience on a series of mini-shows (Keep your
ear to the ground to hear sets from the winners of our Microrave x JustGiving competition, who’ll also provide an hour-long set of danceable beats over the weekend).

Situated next to the park’s stunning Edwardian Butterfly House, home to thousands of exotic plants, birds and colourful Butterflies, the Mircorave will also hold a run of special auctions to raise money for the charity. During the evening of Thursday 12th May, and right through Friday 13th and Saturday 14th May, the tent will see hosts selling off a range of prizes, from wigs and microwavable meals - hence the name - to tickets to next year’s festival.

Sunday marks the grand finale of a long weekend of world-class live entertainment, as the Big Family Day Out returns with the Microrave back on hand to provide music, fun and laughter to kids and adults alike. Expect a funky, upbeat soundtrack, more auctions, more competitions and, of course, more prizes!
