Story
At the ripe old age of 51 and afters years of running marathons and being a firefighter for 29 years I've been forced to have a break due to breaking my back along with multiple bones including leg, arm, ribs etc. In the last year. I now find it hard after not running for a year to get back into marathons .A very good friend of mine has recently had a beautiful baby boy who suffers from a quite unknown disorder called microtia where you are born with only one ear and have other related side effects. I was completely unaware of Microtia and so I am very keen to promote and support this charity .Any help with support for this would not only help the charity but also myself in my quest for running to help others. This is only the second time in 27 marathons that I have asked for sponsorship as I feel it is an under supported charity that I could help promote. Any money that you could spare would be gratefully appreciated. Also if you can highlight this page to others I would be so grateful.

Unfortunately due to a administration error where payment for my guaranteed place for The London Marathon was not taken, thus even after complaining I am not aloud to run.
I have now booked the Limerick marathon in Ireland as im committed to raising money for such a worthwhile cause. So instead of my first marathon since breaking most bones in my body being in London it will now be in Ireland two weeks later. Thank you all for your support and hopefully as it is still that 26.2 miles you wont mind keeping your sponsorship in place.
I also will run the marathon next year in London for the Microtia charity and feel it only right that I persuade Steve and train him for his first marathon. I might add that I haven't spoken to Steve on this point but sometimes people just need a little push .
