Story
Hey my we are finally there with Karen’s charity no and things up and running and now the just giving site.
The Karen Green Foundation!
I lost my darling wife on the 4th of July 2011.
She died after a monument us fight with leukaemia.
She was 43 Karen and I have two children Ellie and Jenni, who we both love so much.
Karen always looked great never moaned always smiling.
Helping inspire other’s in similar positions take strength from her.
On the 1st of July I will be tackling Nottingham’s very own Ironman triathlon ran by one step beyond.
2.4 mile swim, 112 bike race and a marathon…………….OMG.
Am i scarred ! can i do it.................
Of course i am after 60 mile on the bike the other day I felt all in.
Firstly Karen spent the last 3 years defying logic with self-belief and help from the gods.
So I have to believe in myself that things will be ok.
Hope so, I have been training since the beginning of the year.
But only to a limited time, this never really more than 10 hours.
Looking after the girls my business has meant this is how it is.
Injury’s plenty Achilles, trapped nerves, ankle sprain, black out.
I know that the pain that I will go through does not come near to that that Karen suffered for many times over the last 5 years.
I want to raise as much money as possible to help people in Karen’s shoes have a better time of it.
A greater chance of surviving longer or beating this cancer.
Please come and shout for all the other athletes that are doing the outlaw and those who are doing this for the Karen Green Foundation.
Many Thanks
Mick Ellie and Jenni Green.
