I've got too much stuff. I really don't want any gifts. And reaching proper old age has made me think about my dad, who didn't live to meet my sons. But every week, when I was very little, he took me to the library and helped me choose a book while he chose one for himself. So I grew up thinking: "This is what proper men do; they read books." I think my career flowed from that.
