If you know me well you will know that I have regularly taken part in the annual 5km race for life.  Within the last 6 months I have sadly lost two important people to me, this was firstly my best friends husband John Fowler (aged 47) who died 1.11.08 to cancer of the oesophagus, shortly followed by my cousin John Stevens (aged 34) who died 27.2.09.  Never befor have I seen so many people hurt or suffer so much hurt.  I am the type of person who wants to help others and will do my utmost to make life easier.  Having lost these people to this awful illness I feel it important to express my help now by trying to raise money to help treat this illness.  I am therefore pushing myself this year to run the 10k race aswell, a distance I have never done before.  I'm training hard and would like nothing more than to beat my previous raised funds of £150.
