Story
This September I will be raising funds for Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA). I will be raising money for needed equipment for SCIAs national exercise therapy program, NeuroMoves .
I have worked as an Exercise Physiologist for NeuroMoves for almost a year now. At NeuroMoves the therapists including myself provide exercise therapy services aiming to change the lives of people living with a spinal cord injury or a neurological condition.
The strength, determination and positivity in the clients I see everyday is inspiring. They teach me so much and ensure I make the most of what I have and love the life I live. It would be amazing if I could further help these amazing people and provide them with the equipment both themselves and therapists could use to achieve the goals they are striving for.
In order to raise money for this great cause I have set a challenge of my own pushing my own limits. I am aiming to do at least 2hrs of exercise for six days a week for the month of September (total 2880mins). This time exercising must include components of movement that I am not an great at such as juggling, handstands, hip mobility, sprints, basketball etc. It my not look pretty but I'll assure you I'll have fun doing it. Wish me luck!
