Story
Epilepsy Scotland works with people living with epilepsy, which affects 55,000 people in Scotland, to ensure that their voice is heard.
The charity, which is there for anyone with this common serious neurological condition, their families, carers and employers, campaigns for improved healthcare and an end to the stigma around epilepsy.
They also influence policies that will affect the health, educational and social welfare of people with epilepsy and provide quality information, support and wellbeing services.
Epilepsy Scotland is a charity close to my heart with family members and friends being diagnosed with epilepsy.
The goal for 'Team Curran Siblings' - Michelle Brown, Gwen Stirling, Pauline Kane, Scott Curran and Louise Morris - is to run or walk 50k each throughout the month of February to raise even more awareness of the charity and funds.
Epilepsy Scotland has been appointed the 2022 Charity Partner of the Year by Love Your Business, which is a networking club I run every month. Half of all tickets sold will go to the charity who will also receive ongoing PR & Marketing support throughout the year.
Gemma Fleet, Fundraising Manager at Epilepsy Scotland said: “Epilepsy Scotland is delighted to be chosen as the new Love Your Business 2022 Charity Partner.
“I am really looking forward to working closely with Michelle and her team to help raise awareness of epilepsy and highlight how it affects people in employment and ways in which business
owners can support their employees, as well as understanding that epilepsy is ‘more than seizures’.
