In 2018 and 2019, Felix and I ran the Yorkshire Marathon together alongside other members of Mid Yorkshire’s finance team. 

In 2020, Felix spent 3 months in Mid Yorkshire’s hospitals recovering from a stroke.  Prior to this, he had planned to run the 2020 Great North Run, but it was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Despite everything, Felix transferred his place and hoped to be running the Great North Run in 2021, and if it was purely down to determination he’d be there.  Felix is continuing with his rehabilitation, so whilst we hope to be running together again soon, I will be running for Felix on this occasion.
