The SANDS charity are very close to my heart and helped enormously when my Sister Samantha gave birth to my Niece, Sienna Rose who was born sleeping on the 24th September 2013, and my Nephew Beau Alexander, born sleeping on the 17th July 2014 . 

SANDS provided Samantha and her partner Jamie with memory boxes for Sienna and Beau's keepsakes. Also clay moulds of their hands and feet, hand knitted blankets and teddy bears, plus lots of information and support. Samantha and Jamie have since attended the remembrance and lights of love events hosted by SANDS that keep the memory of Sienna and Beau firmly in our hearts and minds.  

 I remember at the time, most people i knew wouldn't even speak to me about my Niece and Nephew and assumed i would carry on with life like nothing had happened. It was hard to grieve and 'act normal'  and thats when the SANDS website became a beacon of light for me. It was filled with information and support for family members, as well as bereaved parents. It was really helpful to know that my grief was completely normal and that others were there to offer a kind word via the online forums. 

I will never get the chance to kiss, spoil or buy presents for Sienna and Beau, but i can run a Half Marathon in honour of them. I would be so grateful if you could donate as much as you possible can so that in the unfortunate event of a baby's death, this charity can provide the love, care and support that my family received to other grieving parents and family members.
