From a very young age Michelle wanted to become a doctor and achieved this ambition, choosing a career in paediatrics.

Michelle was passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children and protecting children and young people from maltreatment. She was a natural leader, who ensured that all those around her were able to learn and improve with her.

To carry on the work that Michelle started, a fund raising campaign has been launched to provide a Scholarship with University College London.

The Michelle Zalkin Scholarship will fully fund a place each year on their Masters Degree in Paediatric and Child Health. This degree has a special focus on child protection, the field in which Michelle was an expert. The successful student will have the opportunity to push their knowledge to the next level, to contribute to valuable research in child protection and to make a bigger difference in the lives of vulnerable children

Through her work Michelle touched the lives of so many children. She may be gone but her spirit remains and we ask you please to help us to make sure that children continue to benefit from the expertise that this degree will deliver.
