Story
Hi I'm Vince, I served 24 years in the military before being medically discharged with a back injury. Last July I had my second knee replacement (on the same leg!) and have set myself the goal of walking the Llanberis path to the top of Snowden to raise money for SSAFA the Armed forces charity that helps servicemen, their families and veterens.
It's been a struggle recovering from these operations but having this goal and wanting to help this charity has been my inspiration.
My expedition is 9 miles to the summit and back, something I couldn't imagine being able to do a year ago. It's planned for the 20th of September and hopefully the British weather will be kind to me and I'll get you a good photo from the top!
Thank you for your kind support.
Best wishes,
Vincent Stopp.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am raising money for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, has been providing lifelong support to our Forces and their families since 1885. Last year our teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 85,000 people in need, from Second World War veterans to young men and women who have served in more recent conflicts, and their families.
